Welcome to my “blog.”
I’ve never been one to follow the trends. I don’t necessarily march to the beat of my own drum, but I don’t love doing what everyone else does. I guess I fit somewhere in the middle.
When my friend encouraged me to start a blog, I laughed as I am not a writer nor do I want to be. I don’t want to be an influencer or bring attention to myself.
So why do I have this blog? I have a couple reasons.
I felt it would be good to document this church planting process for my husband and I to look back at one day and see all the ways that God worked. We know this is not about us, He could have used anyone, but we are thankful for the opportunity and excited for the work ahead.
I wanted to be able to have friends and family back home be able to read updates about our lives instead of texting the same thing over and over again.
As much as I hate being that person with a blog, I am excited to have a place to journal my thoughts about this journey. It does make me feel better when I google the definition of a blog:
“A blog is a regularly updated website or web page, typically one run by an individual or small group, that is written in an informal or conversational style.”
So that’s what this is! The journey of a church plant from the eyes of a pastor's wife. That's why I named it PWinPNW; a Pastor's Wife in the Pacific Northwest. My goal is not to teach anyone anything but if God speaks to you through my story and words, AMEN! Praise Him! I’m just here to write updates of what God is doing in our lives for myself as a journal that we can look back at and for any family and friends that want to follow along.
So if you are reading this and continue to read, I pray for you specifically that you will be encouraged, blessed, and transformed, and that God’s Word and the Holy Spirit would be at work in your life.
I do ask that you partner with us in prayer:
Pray for the people of the Pacific Northwest. Specifically that God would soften and transform their hearts.
Pray that God would build His church and bring us the people that need Him.
Pray for protection and good health over our family
And that we would be humble and willing through this process and be grateful in all circumstances
Thank you!
Jess T.
